“We came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect location! We loved tis end of the island. The snorkeling in the bay just below the houses is wonderful. We were lucky enough to experience snorkeling at Trunk Bay before the crowds arrive – go early. Its definitely worth the drive to Stoop Jones in Harrson Bay- fabulous people. Can’t say enough about the food here – Sweet plantains, Shipwreck Landing, Mias Lucis and Aquas Lounge. Robin thank you for everything, our stay was perfect. Thank you also for your story – it would make a great book. “

“What a lovely, lovely place to be! We loved everything about our stay at Zootenvaal – the beautiful sounds of night, the mesmerizing rise of the moon, the gentle sunrises, and the eye-popping view from our porch. We’re spoiled now and future visits are already being dreamt up. Only Zootenvaal will do.

We had great fun snorkeling out in front of the villa – saw some monster starfish, conch and lots of busy tropical fish on the reef. Had the thrill of our stay snorkeling at francis bay, where we met two green and one loggerhead turtle, all accompanied by nurse sharks!! How fun to float above them for a while, the watch them fly away into the ocean. Also saw another great ocean flier – the southern ray. We left the water with silly perma-grins!

Thank you for such a lovely home base for our investigation of st john! Off to Jost van dyke for more looking around.”

Hurricane Hole

Hurricane Hole is contiguous to Coral Bay and encompasses the federal submerged land of the Virgin Islands Coral Reef Monument. These waters support a diverse and complex system of coral reefs and other ecosystems such as shoreline mangrove forests and seagrass beds that provide crucial habitat for many species of fish.
